Food Pantry Donations

October 29, 2019

Missions’ food pantry collections for the month of November are designated for South Mountain High School. Susan Osman works with this school and brought this need to the attention of our Missions Committee. The school has a small food pantry with donations provided by the staff which is currently quite bare. Especially needed are pasta, soup, canned fruit, pasta sauce, tuna, rice, cereal, mac and cheese, dried beans or canned beans, crackers. Not too many cans because most of this goes home in a backpack :) Often students come in looking for something to eat that day, so bars and trail mix are a good snack. However, protein and items to make a meal are very helpful. Note that monetary donations given at the Foster Thanksgiving tables will also be used to purchase grocery gift cards to help provide Thanksgiving Dinners to some South Mountain High School families in need.
